Framing Assignment

Bug's Eye View

This photo was taken at Washington Park. I love the lighting, and the shadows the leaves make on one another. It took me awhile to find the position that would allow the right amount of sunlight to filter through the branches, but taking the extra moment to do so definitely paid off.

Bird's Eye View

This photo was taken on the beach in Gearhart, Or. Mostly, I like the story behind this picture, though I am proud of the picture itself. It was incredibly windy and starting a fire seemed impossible, but we managed. Honestly, it was insanity, with sand and bits of burning newspaper blowing everywhere. I meant to capture that sense of chaos, but once I looked through the camera lens an entirely different scene appeared. I love the bronze-y color created by the flames, and how well the fire, feet, and roasting marshmallow go together.

Foreground Elements

This photo was taken at the Farmer's Market near Portland State University. I love these bright colors, and the sharpness of the peppers in the foreground contrasted with the less focused background.
